khunsanuk
Hi, Looks like this Portuguese guy has left the country already. No if he was involved or not, but I can imagine him wanting to avoid the police here even if he was totally innocent. Maybe I am too skeptical, but I could see an easy solution to this blemish on Thailand's image if they had been able to get their hands on him. Sanuk! Boo Radley
Came across this snippet in Khaosod (23/06/12) regarding a handwritten note police found in the girls' room, slipped under the door from one of the Portugese men, นายลูเซโน่ ตินโต (Luciano Tinnto), which read: "Sorry about what happened last night. It wasn't intentional. Hope you're not angry." Most probably not much in itself, but indicates he knew the girls quite well and it would be interesting to interview him regarding the girls activities in the lead up to their deaths. http://www.khaosod.co.th/view_news.php?newsid=TUROd01ERXhNakl6TURZMU5RPT0=§ionid=TURNd01RPT0=&day=TWpBeE1pMHdOaTB5TXc9PQ== http://www.thairath.co.th/content/region/270301 (Tinnto left Phi Phi island on the 15th and flew back to Portugal from Phuket on the 17th). So if the thing he's apologizing for has anything to do with it, seems like he left having no clue about the severity of the situation. Depending what time he left for Phi Phi, he may even have knocked on the door and got no answer, therefore slipped a note under the door. Or if it was early, he may have done it not wanting to wake them up. Seems to be an accident.
Boo Radley
The last I heard was that the bodies were already back in Canada awaiting a 2nd autopsy, although there were reports they had been embalmed prior to flying to fit in with aviation regulations. So don't know how that will hinder any autopsy investigation.
