think_too_mut
Without them, Hua Hin horizon at night would be a black hole. Low tide, the boats are left to sunbathe, no mooring, just resting, sometimes half sideways. A brim around the hulk prevents leaning to far. Stickman had a writeup on good and inexpensive seafood Hua Hin is famous for. Small wonder, restaurants have their own fishing boats, like this one, even parked in front: He mentioned some seafood restaurant, which is supposedly famous. Prehaps it is. I just rarely go through the village, always come from the beach side to avoid 300B spagetti restaurants aimed at north European families and end up in this one, 10 years like that, never knew its name. Don't really know how much better one fresh catch could be over another when both are caought in the same waters, same night and grilled the same way. think_too_mut
When landmark buildings are put on a panel, from Asia, Kuala Lumpur has the Petronas, Tokyo has it's Tokyo Tower, Singapore Merlion. Bangkok has the HQ of the Kasikorn bank. On the way to Hua Hin, over the Rama IX bridge, it is there, like diamond top: It is an optical illusion (that does not make it any less recognizable): The building is a boxy one, as many others are: A nice piece of architecture, nevertheless.
