SpiceMan
We are having guests over for dinner tomorrow night and we want to impress them. My wife will serve: Green curry with beef. Pork and chicken steak. Fried mixed vegetables. Pork fried with sour sauce and cashew nuts. Fried rice. Can you recommend a wine to serve with the meal? SpiceMan
I can't buy that soon enough. I need something that is widely available in Europe.
Coss
I used to drink a gewürztraminer with curries, or if that's to pungent, a sauvignon blanc is a good counterpoint. But then i'm from middle earth...
think_too_mut
Is any wine going with Thai food? They have no tradition like that.
Coss
Where is it written that if eating a certain food you must follow tradition? With that kind of thinking we would never have got Thai food with all those Surimi like chunks of reconstituted fish, coloured up for kiddies pleasure. Many nations, Thais included, simply don't have any tradition of wine consumption. Nor production. For me, white meat = white wine, red meat = red wine, as simple as that. Then we go which wine. Took a bottle of Oz wine, Penfolds BIN 389 ("Baby Grange") to Uni graduation ceremony. They drank it with ice!

think_too_mut
Yet again wrong http://www.thaiwineassociation.com Just wanted to praise you for talking your own opinion and you came with the link above. Of course, I never click any links. If you have something to say, say it. BTW, UK is a wine power pretty much what Thais are.
Mekong
You stated incorrectly that Thailand did not produce wine, yet again I call your bullshit opinionated crap.
