its not easy to find a golden middleway...but if someone really saw the light (suthep & his likeminded gang of supporters) one should not discount the unique chance to reform things...even small improvements count...being stubborn, immature & only clinging on to power surely has no cool ring to it!

Yingluck is sure clinging to power. First she declares .... no we are not after power at all 2 weeks ago ...... and now on the party list she is number 1, a family member number 2 on the list and 2 more family members in the next 10.

It seems only a Shinawatra is capable of governing the country :(

It is not that simple Cav. And you know that. If the vote is being done in the current circumstances we will repeat the whole charade again.

So if the majority of the Thai voters vote in Yingluck, that is not the voice of the people?

This is called democracy, majority rule... :dunno:

Maybe you should reread the recommendations given to Yingluck by the people she invited earlier this year ... the former Finnish PM, Tony Blair etc. They made a lot of sense and will answer your question. Your darling girl very much ignored the advise of the people she had invited to advise her in the first place.

Then the voters should have "their" MP's put forth a vote of confidence and kick her out...but they already had a vote of confidence and Ms. Y won out :dunno:

Just grinds my gears that 5%? 10% of the voters are trying to over rule the other 90% and that is not democracy but a bunch of sore losers, IMO.

Jeez ... this ain't Mayor Daley's Chicago (vote early and vote often).

They cannot "vote in Yingluck", since she is only running on the "party list". Her name will not appear on any ballots. Depending on the number votes a party gets, they are allowed so many MPs from their party list. Very obviously the top people on the Pheu Thai list - Takky's sister and his ex-bro-in-law - will automatically become MPs. PT was projected to lose from 30 to 65 seats if the Democrats had run. It will probably be less without them. But PT will surely form the next government, if with support from small parties who want their share of the loot. That means the PT MPs will choose the PM, who will be either Lingyuck or Somchai.
