Fortunately, I didn't lose much ... a mobigh phone, a few collectible Buddhist amulets and an almost empty bottle of booze. (My neighbour lost a lot more.) The police came, looked around and wrote up a report. That was it. But to be honest, my parents' home was broken into in the States about a dozen years ago. Very professional ... only took gold, diamonds and pearls (including some family heirlooms ). Estimated loss of US$30,000 and the cops didn't even bother to take fingerprints! (The insurance paid only $5,000.) It seems like the bad guys usually win, except on TV shows.
