Mekong
Cav The situation is worse in the evenings / night time in Bangkok when the humidity rises this is where "Heat Index" really comes into play Bangkok to all intents and purposes is a giant lump of concrete, think off it akin to a brick lined Pizza Oven, the heat source (the sun / flame) may be extinguished but the heat stored will still radiate, I won't bore you with the math(s) but trust me it follows all 3 laws of Thermodynamics but in layman terms "Its fucking hot"

cavanami
We had that rain a few days ago and it made a HUGE difference! As I am not in Bangkok, our weather out here on the ranch is very different. The sea and large canals are about 1/2 Km away and there is usually a strong wind off the water. Still in the upper 30's but bearable. Even when I was living in Bangkok, in the evening I was in air con, so the pizza oven was not an issue...
Flashermac
The north and northeast are getting thunderstorms that are powerful enough to blow the roof off of houses. In Bangkok we're lucky to get a breeze.
cavanami
The winds further dry out the land and create lots of dust!
Flashermac
I've never seen Bangkok as dry as it is now. Wash the car and a week later it's covered in dust again.
