Fidel
Just wanted to ask about Bar girl black magic anecdotes. Anyone who has read 'Private Dancer' will recall the reference to Black magic... ie. The Khmer Witch Doctor tattooing a mark on Khmer girls which leads any man the girl desires to fall in love with her. Personally, I have been warned by a couple of people to be wary of Black magic, espescially that practiced by Thai women. Allegedly they have the monks prepare a 'potion' for them which they add to the food or the drink of the object of their desires... Maybe it's just that they're SO DAMN FINE! I don't believe it for a second but I love the heart-felt warnings and stories. Anyone got any?
khunsanuk
Hi, I wrote a rather elaborate article on superstition for the paysite. You can find a free sample at http://www.nanaplaza.com/library/samples/superstition.php Sanuk!
Guest
Fidel - As a Cuban you must know of the Cuban Voodoo and a Brasilian will know of Macumba or Candomble ! Academics who read this site and perhaps many westerners will scoff as such things ! To their peril ! I suppose that the Thais have something similar. A difficult book to obtain but accurate nonetheless is 'The Drum and the Candle' by David Sinclair. It's about Black Magic practice in Brasil. Only fools scoff. Please be careful. Guest
Yes this happens... In Indonesia too.... The potions that the girls put in your food can contain some nasty stuff too...so be careful. J22J
