Tycona
Hi, This is actually for a friend of mine... Because where he lives pc games are very expensive he asked me to check prices in Thailand. He wants original games so that he can play them online. Do you guys know what the average prices would be for original computer (PC) games in Thailand? Thanks. Guest
Original games are quite cheap compared to the west. About 400 baht. However, they are Thai versions. Manual etc is all in Thai. I also think they require Thai Windows...not sure though.
khunsanuk
Hi, You are correct about the prices (although some games are more expensive, Diablo 2 I think was 899 Baht) and the manuals, you are mistaken when it comes to needing Thai windows. I run win 2000 and have had no problems installing the games. Most of them are exact copies of the English version, only the manual and packaging has been translated. Sanuk! Straycat
...most are exact copies -- but not all of them! I've come across a few that are in Thai only, "The Sims" for example. That can be quite annoying Straycat
bibblies
When they translate "The Sims" to Thai, do they make the family behave like a Thai one too?
Straycat
Hahaha...of course. It makes a quite interesting game, doesn't it
khunsanuk
Hi, Yep, have the Sims as well. However, I can switch between English and Thai. I have two .REG files, one for English and one for Thai. Clicking them updates the registry and changes the language. Email me (sanuk@nanaplaza.com) if you want a copy (files are about 1K each). Guest
Thanks Khun Sanuk, I wasn't sure. Actually, it was a stupid thing I wrote retrospectively...as I actually have Thai windows on my own PC, but run plenty of games from the West etc.
