bibblies
I dunno. If she's not going to swallow his muck, it seems a pretty hollow compliment to me.
luckyfarang
<<It is basically the Thai equivalent of "You are so cute I could just eat you up" >> Khun Sanuk is exactly correct. Another useful phrase to know which is close to an exact opposite is: MAN-SAAI(f) - "disgusting"
khunsanuk
Hi, "Another useful phrase to know which is close to an exact opposite is: MAN-SAAI(f) - "disgusting"" Funnily enough though the two are often used in the same context. Sanuk!
Boo Radley
Hi, I seem to remember that MAN SAI ËÃÑè¹äÊé was discussed here a while back. In most dictionaries its translated as to be disgusted (with). However it can also apparently have the opposite meaning, similar to MAN KHEEO ÃÑ¹à ¢ÕéÂÇ (ie cute). So the context you hear it in decides which of the two meanings it takes. I guess its similar to the case in English with the word 'wicked', which can also have a slang meaning of 'good'.
