lopburi3 Posted December 2, 2002 Report Share Posted December 2, 2002 Best to take a taxi as this is in the old section of Bangkok South of the Royal Hotel. It is the block directly South of Charoen Kroung Rd and East of the klong directly in front of the Royal Hotel. If you drive turn left at the Royal Hotel and follow the left side of the klong until you have to turn left. One block in is Banmoh Road which is the center of electronic and diamond trade. The second block is corner of Old Siam Center and if you turn left (heading North again) believe the trophy shops are on this street. Probably the best is to show a photo of a trophy to a taxi driver and he will know where to find them. This area of Bangkok has streets dedicated to one or two items only so until you need something you may never see it. Taxi drivers that know Chinatown and the old section of Bangkok can find - and perhaps more importatenly get you there as driving/parking can be a problem. There are a couple of novelty shops there that specialize in custom made advertising accessories and I think they make up trophies and plaques as well. There are about 10 shops all in a row on the south side of the RAMA 1 road.. just about 150m from MBK. Just take the BTS to national stadium and walk down the stairs and you are there.
