whosyourdaddy Posted June 22, 2003 Report Share Posted June 22, 2003 Every time I read the pattaya mail online ( www.pattayamail.com) I see that at least one or two foreign residence threw themselves off of a building, drowned in 6 inches of water, drug overdose etc. Why is it??? Is it that Pattaya draws the lowest of the lows and the weakest of the weak and they just can take it when Miss bar girl goes with another man. ??? Or is it that they are thrown off of the 3 story building head first or drugged by some gang to make it look like a murder??? pe7e Posted June 22, 2003 Report Share Posted June 22, 2003 I seem to remember some years ago a falang was found hanging under the pier, the death was attributed to sucide despite the fact he had is hands tied behind his back! it is all a bit strange don't you think? In the latest particular incident there does not seem to be a obvious reason while a young chap should choose do this to himself. I think it is time a proper inquiry was carried out into these inexplicable events by a competent non corrupt authority, not the local boys in brown. Remember the airport taxi murders of a couple of years ago? the government went out of their way to not attract publicity to these killings for fear of scaring off tourists. I bumped into an Australian named Ron several times in the market. We chatted over a beer Chang or 2 about life in Issan; he had been married for 6 years to a former BG and seemed to be doing OK. My last time there in March I went out to his place a few villages away and he proudly showed me all the work he had done plumbing and wiring their house. He said things were a little tense with him and his wife as other family members were hounding him for money, but that life was good and he was happy. Last week when I called my lady friend, she told me "Ron die, him kill him" I quickly looked up "suicide" in my Thai-English dictionary and she confirmed it. He would probably be angry if he had just rebuilt the families house, but that's no reason to top yourself is it? I met this guy who lives here with his Japanese wife(mid fifties guy from the US) He thinks LOS is extremely safe ...I did n't know what to say so I just said nothing but I think you can find trouble so so easily with the wrong place wrong time wrong people-so easily. In five years of reading numerous boards and the Pattaya Mail, there are way too many "suicides" of 40 or 50 something guys. Even heart attacks. Others have said that when "drinking every day, taking Viagra, and fucking 20 year-olds, what do you expect"? I don't buy it. It almost yells "FOUL PLAY" after reading 50 of these things.
