Here is my regular update of the Thai Public Holidays, and my opinion as to whether the bars will be open or shut:

 

Tue January 1st New Year's Day

Thu â?? Sat February 7th-9th Chinese New Year - Bars Open

Thu February 21st Makha Bucha Day â?? Bars Shut

Wed March 2nd Senate Elections â?? Bars probably shut from 6pm on 1st till 8pm on 2nd.

Mon April 7th Chakri Day (Substitution Day) â?? Bars Open

April 12thâ??19th Songkran Festival â?? Bars Open but wet!

Thu May 1st National Labour Day â?? Bars Open

Mon May 5th Coronation Day â?? Bars Open

Mon May 19th Visakha Bucha Day â?? Bars Shut

Tue July 1st Mid Year Closing Day â?? Bars Open

Thu July 17th Asanha Bucha Day â?? Bars Shut

Fri July 18th Khao Phansa Day - Buddhist Lent â?? Bars Shut

Tue August 12th H.M. the Queen's Birthday â?? Bars Probably Open

Tue October 14th Awk Phansa Day - End of Buddhist Lent â?? Bars Open

Thu October 23rd Chulalongkorn Day â?? Bars Open

Fri December 5th H.M. the King's Birthday - Undecided

Wed December 10th Constitution Day â?? Bars Open

Wed December 31st New Year 's Eve â?? Bars Open

Mon May 19th Visakha Bucha Day â?? Bars Shut

 

I spoke with a thai barowner in Naklua a week ago and he said that so far the police had told that the bars could be open that day. :thumbup:
