Hotel for a birthday night

Would like a recommendation for a one night stay. Rather than just back to her simple room after a party night I'd like to treat her to a decent bed and room for the night. She'll be wanting to get plugged as well. Doesn't need to be outrageous just something nice. Suk or elsewhere within the metropolis are all good.

Any thoughts?

Some very good rates at the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit right now, Radio Man.

Not sure about the background of your friend, but if she is a working girl, the SGS is GF.

Still love those shoes in your avatar.... hot!

Hi,

Well the SGS is probably the one place I dare not try ha ha! Too well known there and have been back many times in the last 12 years that even the current staff still know me, I'd rather a tad discreet. It's still a great hotel though, highly recommended.

Yeah those shoes get me even now. The wearer is long gone, a real pornstar of a performer, loved to do whatever I wanted sheer entusiasm everytime there was a chance. The new one is in training, hopefully in time I'll have something equally good to replace the avatar with but until then I can't quite bear to change it.

What are the rates at the Sheraton now...and where do u get them?

Thanks.

HH

Well, working in the travel industry, I just email them and ask them for an industry "mate's rate" so to speak.

So when I stay there in 2 weeks, they have given me a room for 2500 per night. (No breakfast included, but hey - SGS at 2500 per night?? That's the gas!)

Not sure what it would be online to the general public, but would probably be more.

If hotels want you to experience them and then go home and sell them, they quite often offer great rates for travel industry staff.

(Not that the travel company I work for sells SGS.. but they don't have to know that!! Hehe!!)

:shhh:

To me, all 5* rooms are pretty much the same thing. If that's what you are looking for, just price shop and pick the best per your specs. You know you'll get a top quality place.

But if you are looking for something funky, cool & memorable, try http://www.reflections-thai.com/rooms.htm . Each room is designed by a different Thai artist. Vampy & I have stayed in rooms 414, 415 & 416. I think 416 is my fav. But you can check out all the rooms online.

A few good restaurants nearby too, and not far from great niteclubs like Club Culture and Saxophone. Aree is a cool 'hood!

Cheers,

SD

Hi,

Excellent, funky with a capital F, some rooms maybe just a tad too funky for my taste but the whole idea sounds way cool not to go and check it out. I know the area reasonably well so no problem getting around, hopefully they have parking. Will check it out.

Thanks.
