ozpharlap
Well for us Australians, who many have sat and had a drink with Robert at his bar (the host of the Downunder Bar on soi 7/1 Sukhumvit), sadly, he has passed away, about 10 days ago (I have only just been informed & I have not seen any post here discussing same). Apparently he was cremated this week. Regardless of whether you liked the man he would never forget anyone's name, even if you had not had a drink at his bar for over a year or so. He was always a jolly host. I took a picture of him only 1 week before he went into hospital, he had a wonky eye and had to get it fixed (caused by a tumour above the eyes). He did not look anywhere near close to death ... life can be cruel, you have to live it every day. I think he was just over 60. RIP Robert

ozpharlap
He was a tall gray haired fellow, he was over 60 so the blond locks, if he had them before were long gone.
The_Munchmaster
Was in his bar a few times a few years ago although can't remember if I ever had a conversation with him. He certainly didn't look like he was getting ready to go.
