huumlaar
OK - Anyone know of a classic style French restaurant in Bangkok? Requirements are something with maybe candles, large, and must have "French Music" In Vientiane I can find a few, but in Bangkok I haven't any idea. Suggestions? Near Suk is better as I don't want to travel far.
The_Munchmaster
This place doesn't really meet your criteria but I'll give it a plug anyway as it is French and it's my favourite Bangkok restaurant. Le Bouchon, Patpong 2. Great ambience, great food and decent prices. The patron, Serge, is also a very nice man.
Pom Michael
Soi 11 - Chez Pape Soi 13 - Sofitel (L'appart) Soi 19 - Philippe Rest. Just within walking distance of Asoke. Foursquare is good:- https://foursquare.com/explore?mode=url&near=Bangkok%2C%20TH&q=french
Mekong
Munchie Good call on Le Bouchon I too often eat there and agree with your observations about the place. Also you are confirming my comments that Patpong has more to offer than NEP or SC. For me it has to be "Uncle John's" I won't post the details just google it, one of Bangkok's little hidden gems.
