cavanami
Children missing for going on four days now in the Mae Sai area. MAE SAI, Thailand - (AP) -- About a dozen navy SEAL divers and other rescuers re-entered a partly flooded cave in northern Thailand on Tuesday morning to search for 12 boys and their soccer coach who have been missing for three days in the sprawling caverns. Divers have been seeking a way forward through the chambers of the Tham Luang Nang Non cave complex, but flooding has hindered their progress. The authorities have also been seeking alternative ways in, using helicopters and search parties on foot to find holes that might exist in the ceilings of other parts of the cave... https://www.newsday.com/news/world/power-line-put-in-thai-cave-to-help-search-for-missing-boys-1.19431047

Coss
As an aside, I had wondered why someone, would take a bunch of soccer players caving, when the World Cup was being broadcast on every airwave in the land.

Coss
Or perhaps there's something about the incongruously named, "Pattaya Beach" cave, that they're not telling us...
Flashermac
Come on Coss, surely you realize by now that Thailand is above the World! In rural Chiang Rai ... probably no televisions. Now that they've found them, they have to figure what to do with them. They are past some very difficult flooded passages 400 meters beyond "Pattaya Beach". Only a skilled diver could make it through the narrow passages, and not one of the kids can even swim! They may have to stay in the cave for as much as 4 months waiting for the water to go down. pasathai1
be sure to ask the coach why he did not think the warning signs did not apply to them.
Flashermac
Well, he'd taken the kids into the cave before in December, when it wasn't the rainy season, and nothing happened. Obviously, the warning signs about the rainy season deserved to be ignored.
Mekong
be sure to ask the coach why he did not think the warning signs did not apply to them. Warning signs only apply to dumb Foreigners, as I previously mentioned Thais are above the world
