Nasiadai 81 Report post Posted October 1, 2019 God willing, I will come to Bangkok on Friday 3 January 2020. I will then drive together with one of my Thai friends to the Jomtiem beach in the Soi Welcome; deep down in the south of Pattaya. We stay there for 5 days.Parties, Barhopping, Girls, Girls Girls are then the flavour of the month. Afterwards I will drive to my beach, the Hat Tung Wua Laen near Chumpon at the Gulf. I have often reported about this beach. Also with some pictures. This beach is for approx. 24 years (since January 1996) my retreat for peace and recovery. There are also some girls; no, no, no bargirls, just normal ladies. From there it goes on to Laos and later in February to Burma. This time I absolutely want to see Pagan.https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baganhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pagan_KingdomIn March I want to spend about 3 weeks again in Pattaya. At the beginning of April I will go back to Joeraman in spring.

migrant 59 Report post Posted October 1, 2019 On your way to Hat Tung Wua Laen have you ever stopped in Bang Saphan Yai? Up until a month ago we lived there on the beach. A quiet town with a beautiful beach and enough expats to keep things interesting (A large German contingent meets every day at Coco bar at 5pm). Some decent restaurants around and good prices. No bar girls though. I loved it but the wife said too slow (even though she admits she loved being on the beach) so we sold. I you are interested let me know I can give you some recommendations

If you are interested let me know I can give you some recommendations Hi Migrant, I've been looking at Bang Saphan on the map. It's about 10 km to 12 km north of Hat Tung Wua Laen; something like that. It looks very nice there. A real alternative to Hat Tung Wua Laen. The big German group you're talking about is probably old people, all of them retired, who spend the winter there (November - March). If you have interesting information for me, then please let them come ... 1. accommodation At Hat Tung Wua Laen I pay in my bungalow complex 250 to 300 Baht for my bungalow. 2. a few pubs, beach bars 3. other information Thank you in advance Nasiadai – Bakwahn
cavanami 565 Report post Posted October 8, 2019 Hey buffalo_bill It appears you are in the Bangkok area? How about we inform the BMs of a meet up? You name the day, time and place and we will see. Last meet up was across from The Tavern, soi Nana when Hugh Hoy was in town.

Redbaron 22 Report post Posted October 10, 2019 Who was the guy years ago (like 15+ years ago) who used to frequent Chumpon? Came across as a really nice bloke, and I *think* we wither met a couple of times, or just missed out... in any case - looks a great spot!
Nasiadai 81 Report post Posted October 14, 2019 I have been driving to the Hat Tung Wua Laen beach since about 1996. I have reported about it almost every year on this board (and on its predecessors). Of course I have made friends and acquaintances over the years. There were many adventures, events, beautiful restful days. I love this beach. I have taken it into my heart.
