There are still some gems to be found among the girls,nearly always those who are new to the scene.I suppose the best lookers with a good attitude soon find sponsors/patrons/partners who take them out of the nightlife scene.This leaves those whose primary motivation is money making.

Sounds like a " Pyramid scheme " .....surprising how popular these seem to be ( don`t know if its just an Isaan thing or country-wide ).There are several versions often involving dubious herbal remedies.The MO is always the same of course - new members have to be recruited which involves buying a starter pack with a small sample of the product.Then they have to recruit new members etc etc.Complicated plans set out the huge returns that are possible for new members if they are successfull.One I saw claims that a member in Khon Kaen bought a new Lamborghini with the profits ( with a pic as proof ).Amazing how some people still fall for this stuff

Thats the big advantage of Patts - easy to hop on a sorngtow or even walk back home at the end of the evening.I find the nightlife is more or less the same,albeit more expensive than a few yrs ago .Unfortunately time doesn`t stand still and so the experience is different when you are older but the girls still look the same .

Speaking Thai is not too difficult - I started to pick up the basics after a while.Reading is taking it to another level and takes a lot of practice.Being able to compose and write ( with the correct spelling )in a grammatically correct way ,well I reckon that would take literally years of dedication .Also,in some parts of the country understanding the locals is impossible even with a good grasp of " pasah glahng "

Amazing how the soaps dominate Thai TV - often theres the mid-morning soap,the afternoon one,then the early evening,later early evening and then the main event at around 8.20-10.20....thats 5 every day .Seems the writers are running out of ideas as well as they often re-use old plots 2 or more times but brought up to date with modern actors.Take away the soaps and innane game shows and whats left - zilch

Making home-made fireworks using black powder was fun for a while - until one day I used a little too much and the fuse was too short....the resultant bang left me looking like a cartoon character with swept back hair and a black face.That was the end of my experiments

How about this one ......Imagine a metal spring,something like a coil spring used in car suspension.When the spring is compressed it stores energy.Put that spring into a container filled with acid until the metal has been thinned and now the spring contains less energy.Where has that energy gone ?
