  1. Don’t know TBH, haven’t left Thailand since Aug 2019 I suspect if they did, in ticket price
  2. Bloody Hell OH, you have a far better memory than I on this. It was before August 2008 since that is when that job finished and a I am sure the Irish Exchange changed its name to Molly Malones about then. it was a silly argument, as most of my arguments tend to be, about the distance from Central Pattaya to Laem Chabamg, a trip, I had been making 2 times a day 4 days a week plus once every Monday and Friday (Drove down to Laem Chabang from Bangkok Monday Morning, stayed in Pattaya all week back to Bangkok Friday Evening So 8 times per week for about 3 years, well over 1,000 times and he tried to tell me I was wrong with my distances Typical Frenchman, Lost a battle and ran away. I didn’t tell he him to disappear or anything like that, just prepared for him to admit his error and move on. For some reason he couldn’t do that, completely spat the dummy (pacifier), toys out of the play pen, removed all traces of himself and disappeared, I didn’t even get a proper chance to gloat.
  3. Peak Bangkok for me was ‘97 and the SE Asia Crash through to about 2002. It was around 2002 when I decided I had had enough of living in “Farang Ghetto” and moved out, but not too far, and found a life away from the nightlife scene. I suppose as we grow older we want more variety in life, I don’t regret the hard years I did around the nightlife scene, but today I don’t miss it
  4. But can they play Abba songs on a didgeridoo though?
  5. One worse than the Neanderthal joke I saw a busker the other day playing Dancing Queen on the Didgeridoo I thought “That’s Abbariginal”
  6. Last I checked this was the “Any New Jokes” Thread
  7. Groan! You should be banned from this thread for that 😚 It was worse than my telekinetic abacus one. About the Belly Buttons, that was the joke (well the whole Bible / Religion is a joke) Religious pictures themselves disprove creationism and the followers of the word of goat herders can’t see it.
  8. But Pre-Adamites (allegedly) died out before Adam was created. Also if Pre-Adamites existed it throws the whole “ Creationism” theory out of the window and leans more to evolution, therefore Adam and Eve would have had belly buttons, which is in line with catholic teachings. And that is the reason why I posted the picture, it brings the whole Biblical story from Genesis to Revelation into dispute. It’s a know fact that atheists read the Bible and Christians have the Bible read for them, or as Mark Twain said “The best cure for Christianity is reading the Bible"
  9. Who were these others of which you speak? According to Genesis from “The Book of Lies” there were no others, ome was made from dust and the other from the first one’s rib Maybe they got bit in the abdomen by a talking snake
  10. London — A judge in London on Thursday threw out a lawsuit by former U.S. President Donald Trump accusing a former British spy of making "shocking and scandalous claims" that were false and harmed his reputation. Judge Karen Steyn said there were "no compelling reasons" to let the case Trump filed against Orbis Business go to trial. The company was founded by Christopher Steele, who created a dossier in 2016 that contained rumors and uncorroborated allegations that caused a political storm just before Trump's inauguration. Steele, who once ran the Russia desk for Britain's Secret Intelligence Service, also known as MI6, was paid by Democrats to compile research that included salacious allegations that Russians could potentially use to blackmail Trump. CBS News correspondent Imtiaz Tyab said the court was told during a hearing in late 2023 that Trump was bringing his case over two memos in the dossier, which claimed he had taken part in "sex parties" in St. Petersburg, Russia, and engaged in "golden showers" with prostitutes in Moscow. Trump called the dossier "fake news" and a political witch hunt, and in his legal filings he accused Steele of making false claims and sought unspecified damages from Orbis for allegedly violating British data protection laws. Orbis always maintained that it was not responsible for the publication of the dossier, which was leaked to a U.S. media outlet, and it sought the case's dismissal. It argued that neither the company nor Steele had approved or been aware of the leak of the document. It also said the case had been filed too late. In 2022, the U.S. Federal Election Commission fined former candidate Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign $8,000, and the Democratic National Committee $105,000, for obscuring their funding of the dossier. The campaign had mislabeled Steele's work as "legal services" and "legal and compliance consulting" in campaign filings, the FEC concluded. The bipartisan election commission dismissed a complaint against Steele himself. Source
  11. Yet again Thailand demonstrates that it is a democracy in name only, and is in fact a totalitarian dictatorship. Here was I thinking that politics was to give the people options and the right to decide. MFP did not say they would scrap article 112, they said it would be debated, but is seems you are not even allowed to discuss change. They are petitioning for MFP to be dissolved now, oh what a surprise, a party gets the majority of public support so make them illegal, no wonder this regime supports Putin, their moves are straight from his play book.

  13. A tragic incident unfolded yesterday evening at a Pattaya condominium when a 33 year old British national was killed in a BASE-jumping accident. At around 7.30pm, local authorities were alerted to a body that had fallen from a great height, landing amidst the condominium’s lush foliage before hitting the ground. The accident occurred in the Nong Prue subdistrict of Bang Lamung, Chon Buri province. At the scene, police, along with Pattaya City Tourist Police and Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation rescuers, discovered Nathan Odinson’s lifeless body on the ground, his unopened parachute still attached. Witnesses residing in the condominium were visibly shaken as they recounted hearing a loud crash they initially thought was a tree branch breaking. It was only when a woman screamed upon discovery that residents realised the grim reality of a human body plummeting to a fatal end, reported KhaoSod. Further investigation revealed that Odinson had secretly accessed the condominium, parking his vehicle outside and waiting for an opportune moment to slip in undetected. He intended to leap from the 29th floor while his friend captured the stunt on video, apparently for content creation purposes. However, the parachute malfunctioned and failed to deploy, leading to his untimely death. Odinson was reportedly familiar with the building, having successfully jumped from it several times before this fatal incident. Source
  14. Starting The Wire is like building a puzzle without knowing what it's supposed to look like by the end. But as you go, you start to realize what you're making, and you get more and more excited to see the big picture.
  15. Hehe I did warn him 127 times
  16. Police in Thailand have arrested a woman whose pet lion was pictured going on a joyride in the streets of Pattaya. A video that has now gone viral shows the chained lion cub seated in the back of a white, open-top Bentley. The lion was being driven about by a Sri Lankan man who has since left the country, and is believed to be a friend of the woman, Sawangjit Kosoongnern. While it is not illegal to own a lion in Thailand, it needs to be officially registered. Authorities in Thailand said Ms Sawangjit claimed to have bought the animal from a Thai man in Nakhon Pathom province, who successfully facilitated its delivery to Pattaya. However he failed to have his facility checked by officials before doing so, which made both the transfer and ownership of the animal illegal. She is therefore facing charges of possessing a controlled wild animal without permission, which carries a penalty of a year's imprisonment and a fine of up to 100,000 baht ($2,800; £2,200). Police were also reportedly looking to charge the Sri Lankan man, who had kept the lion in his rented pool villa, but were unable to as he is no longer in Thailand. He was due to be charged with bringing a controlled wild animal into public places, which carries jail time of up to six months and a fine of 50,000 baht. The man who sold the lion to Ms Sawangjit will also face charges of moving an animal without permission. Officials say there are currently 224 lions in Thailand that are legally owned. Roar
  17. Trump ordered to pay $83m in damages in defamation trial Former President Donald Trump has been ordered to pay $83.3 million in damages to writer E. Jean Carroll for defaming her after she accused him of sexual assault, a jury ruled Friday, ending years of litigation as Carroll has sought retribution for the former president’s attacks on her—and adding to the $5 million Trump has already been ordered to pay her. 18. Oh the irony, trying to bribe a department for corruption when bribery itself is a form of corruption. Srisuwan is a right pain in the arse, about time he was banged up
