  1. As long as you don't use terms like RVN you should be okay 😀

    4K porn

I downloaded a couple of 4K movies @50+GB per movie you would expect something significant but on a 65" LG 4K and seemingly being played as HEVC 10bit 3840x2160. TV has a field refresh rate (what I call a frame rate) of 200Hz. So far I'm not that impressed, compared with regular full HD 1080p I can't really see that much difference, all a bit 'maybe'. Seating is some 4m back from the screen. As for the refresh rate I would expect higher rates to be smoother. Watching footie on an old UK spec 625 line TV at 25Hz frame rate only looked smooth because of the poor definition and the interlacing. At UHD resolutions it might require super high frame rates or artificial motion blur to appear smooth. But do tell what I'm missing here. Curious.

    4K porn

Indeed. Though I think you might be lacking the inner 14 year old that is a necessary prerequisite for any and all porn, just about.
  4. LA cafe ??? A lot of guys are Tinder-ing or DIA-ing for the good stuff. Take a few misses once in a while but can score real super ones too sometimes. Bit of a lottery but at least you get to interview by text a bit without any commitment or commission.
  5. I read that pretty much, not all but most, serial killers are male and ethnically white. Hmm, I need to avoid white males in case etc etc. Just sayin. So far as what drives the people to form the gangs and confederations that they do in order to promulgate crime I have to believe the drivers are a fix of financial and social, the former being dominant. As you noted some groups never display this tendency, in upcountry Thailand you don't see such things, yeah plenty of violence but it is generally one on one or some weird family feud, something driven by a single specific. I would suggest that historically there has been little recognition of the haves and have nots. Pretty much everyone you knew was in the same boat and there was little awareness of the greater world, satisfaction is driven by what you know. During the great American expansion from the post civil war period onward there has been a great explosion of wealth, in some circles. There was never a division of that wealth between those who could create it and those who couldn't. Particularly for people coming from cultures that, even though they were poor traditionally shared what they had this was pretty alien and this no doubt fueled the comfort in grouping, gangs. Areas where social status and wealth are increased generally see less crime no matter the ethnic or cultural makeup of the people. They also tend to be more diverse areas racially, as well. There is a tendency to think some groups or types of people are lazier than others but I think given opportunity most would not choose to be. Laziness at that point I think is driven by a lack of perceived opportunity. One thing that seems clear after such a long time is that you simply cannot fix discrimination or racism.
  6. I can only assume its some shortcoming with the new board configuration but I don't ever recall seeing the number of clearly BS topics as of late. 😕

    Straya

Two months! Haha, it probably made enough to buy a pickup, six buffalo and build a house.
  9. As usual some well balanced commentary from CS. Have to say I agree pretty much with all of it in that it seems to fit with the only other minimal data points someone like me can have. Don't like trump (see what I did there) I think he's a twat and a horrible person, but that shouldn't preclude someone from running a country. So far I haven't seen that. All I have seen has been some giveaways to the masses and the special interests to keep them cheering and a few things that spike the numbers in, at least for the short term, right direction. No doubt trump has the 'nads', just don't think it's for the long term US good. Saw a piece on the news about a guy building inflatable boats, good startup business, doing well. Designed in US but he gets all his material from China, of course. Said the first round of tariffs didn't affect him, second round made only a slight impact, third round is all but set to wipe him out. Can't buy US made cos what is available is priced the same as the now super taxed Chinese material and it aint getting any cheaper. He needs to up the price of his product just to stay afloat(sic) and then his customer base will likely all but disappear so then he's left high and dry (sic again) and another failed business. If that story gets repeated across 100, 1000, 10000 small business the knock on effect could be immense. Bummer.
  10. Haha, yes, it can indeed help, and no matter the scenario always be beyond polite and, most important, speak in a hushed voice, even whilst the tenor of your message would be to murder the stinking shit and his/her entire family for being such ignorant and arrogant twats. Do this at low volume and with a big smile . I would hazard that in the case of your queue bypassing said 'official' might have just been graced by favours bestowed by his mistress in an oral fashion. Speaking of immigration queues I'm always reminded of the situation where I was entering a country on the sub-continent with a colleague. Though formerly a British colony it has subsequently developed a sort of super bureaucracy where every detail is hyper managed and verified, to no purpose and often with impressively large amounts of incompetence. There are a few of these. Seeing the large queue at the 'foreigner' entry my colleague decided we should instead join the queue for locals which was much much shorter. On seeing this, an otherwise idle official, short and gruff but with a uniform, and a hat, rapidly approached us with some significant arm gestures. Said official appeared to have an odd facial colour that was a virulent shade found when something brown is fast becoming something violet. In a quite amusing and lilting form of English accompanied by a large amount of head wobbling he informed us as sternly as anyone of such stature, appearance and ill fitting garb could that we were in the wrong bloody queue and that the queue for foreigners was several aisles down. My colleague, a man known for his very English coolness calmly responded that, rather than foreigners we were in fact English and it was in fact he who was Johnny foreigner. I've never seen blood vessels explode but I think its accompanied by a large amount of non-English gobbledegook. We passed through the local queue with no further distractions.
  11. For the most part the 'Chinese' running Hong Kong would be utterly dismayed to face any comparison with their mainland counterparts. Japan, Korea and Singapore are their peers and relative competition whilst Beijing and Shanghai are more akin to Dhaka, Mumbai, or Manila.
  12. I can't comment on Hong Kong Airlines, other than it's a fairly new player but seems to be positioning itself above the bottom rung tour group cattle shippers that predominate. That said I'm sure they ship plenty of cattle. Hong Kong on the other hand is still a great place to visit and if you've never been then a day is going to be a bit of a shame. The airport is on an island away from the main populated areas of Hong Kong and it takes approximately 40 minutes by high speed train to reach the city Kowloon station, another 5 minutes or so to reach the station on Hong Kong island. Taxis and shuttle buses to all the major hotel are available at the stations. It's changed a lot over the years but a night or two in HK before and after spending anytime in mainland China is for me a must, just to get back to some relative sanity. Leaving Hong Kong, again take the train where you can check in,leave your bag and get your boarding pass just as you would at the airport then get on the train. Be sure to buy a return ticket on arrival. Overall the airport is on a different level to anywhere else in China, or East Asia for that matter, the only other places similar would be Narita, Incheon and Singapore.
  13. A while back, actually about exactly a year ago now I spent a few days in a nice hotel at Clark, Midori I think. Decent 4 star place, casino attached. Walking around Fields avenue one night, my "friend" likes to bat for both teams so we went looking. She was not impressed though, nor me, think Nana with added shit and way more risk. Everything else, okay but much bigger distances between places and less, no, actually no infrastructure. More shit everywhere. I guess it depends what you're going for. If mongering is the plan then it's probably on a par with Pattaya in terms of availability just less glamorous. Did I really say that? Haha. There really seems so little to get excited or interested about there though. I think if lived there I'd be pretty depressed.
  14. Okay I found that the star is still there t take me to the last unread Will investigate the stream filter Getting better
  15. You need to post a how to. Board(sic) with all this effort to re-learn basic shit 😣 Havent even figured out yet which button will start me at the end of one of our mega threads 😠
  16. Not impressed so far, maybe in time. Looks messy.
  17. Death Wish (2018) Bruce Willis does Charles Bronson. Actually not bad and far far better than some of the garbage Willis has been hooked to of late. It’s fairly predictable of course and nothing outstanding but there don’t appear to be any woodentop actors in the thing for the most part. Willis does his usual though this time starting as the up market white collar successful doctor rather than his usual blue collar downbeat fuck up. Still nails bad guys and in a less than John Wick like fashion mostly. Wonder if they will go on to do the others.
  18. I would get complaints, "Why not 1,000 Baht notes!" :-(
  19. In a similar vein my yf informs me that the mother of our daughters bff at school (sorry if that's a bit mind warping) is a former Thai "naughty movie star". I'm not sure what that is but I think I can guess. (Think soft porn with lots of vaseline and strange editing cuts complete with warbly flat music and seriously bad dialogue.) Anyway I thought might be interesting until I espied said mother at a school function whereupon I realised, yet again, that my own faded handsomeness is not unique. I doubt the lady gets too many offers these days, though I understand GILFS are quite the thing on some websites. Life aint kind. So 10 years down track and that particular lassie in the vids has likely collected a bunch more tats and a ton more ironmongery not mention possibly a few scars and stretch marks.
  20. Nipper? The dude is like 50. Well maybe that's still a nipper to some. Cannot be doing much for pops face that his "nippers" are still hanging out doin dirty deeds in the kiddy bars of Thnglor and such. T'were one of mine there would be a "grow up!" possibly with a "Fuck'n!" in front of it.
  21. Well there's nothing on 9 of note so if someone could just knock a lane through from 11 to 7/1 I guess that would be soi 7/11
  22. The indigenous were farmers and fishermen, not bricklayers and cleaners, but I agree that they should never have been expelled. Lets not forget the British were doing what they always do and kow tow to their US masters request in clearing the island. But that's the thing with history, hindsight is always 20/20 so we know this should never be. That said the present is manageable and the continued current US policy of demeaning the Filipino workers and refusing sovereign UK court rulings is where I feel the present day focus should be maintained. Just because of what was doesn't mean it has to be what is. I'm sorry, this is the movie thread, which I very much enjoy for it's stated intention. I will refrain from further OT comment here.
  23. Did it move? I thought that was Soi 7 or 7/1, as you went up the soi, or was that down the soi, it was on the right or maybe the other side, but wasn't he Belgian?
  24. That particular tale is known by many Brits, or at least it should be, we were taught about it in secondary school (high school), and no they didn't sell it as a good thing, but though that one involved something the US wanted there are plenty of other places the British have historically not exactly been benevolent or benign with or without the interests of third parties, then again, the French, Belgians, Dutch, Japanese, Chinese and countless others have done similar horrible things. It's very likely the US is scaling down its DG ops now that they have a relatively new massive base in Qatar
