Forgot that I saw this last week and it is indeed worth a watch.

Scottish Field, October issue, more of a magazine than a book, however it does require reading skills and is entertaining.

Spy 2015 IMDB - "A desk-bound CIA analyst volunteers to go undercover to infiltrate the world of a deadly arms dealer, and prevent diabolical global disaster." Starring - Jude Law, Melissa McCarthy, Jason Statham A good action / comedy. Good fun, really enjoyed it. :up:

Watched it for the second time tonight (first time I was slightly inebriated) and shouldn't have bothered! What a heap of crap!! How it can possibly get an 8.3 rating from IMDB users is beyond me!!!

Careful, only the one thumbs up! However I didn't have any regrets watching it.

San Andreas (2015) IMDB - "In the aftermath of a massive earthquake in California, a rescue-chopper pilot makes a dangerous journey with his ex-wife across the state in order to rescue his daughter." A decent action flick with some excellent CGI. Enjoyed it.

Watched episode 1 last night. Looking good, so thanks for the tip.

Promised Land 2012 Starring: Matt Damon, Frances McDormand, Hal Holbrook IMDB - "Corporate salesman Steve Butler (Damon) arrives in a rural town with his sales partner, Sue Thomason (McDormand). With the town having been hit hard by the economic decline of recent years, the two outsiders see the local citizens as likely to accept their company's offer, for drilling rights to their properties, as much-needed relief. What seems like an easy job for the duo becomes complicated by the objection of a respected schoolteacher (Holbrook) with support from a grassroots campaign led by another man (Krasinski) who counters Steve both personally and professionally." No car chases, no bombs, no shootouts, just a good drama (about fracking). Enjoyed this.

Downloading Series 1 now, so will give it a try, thanks.

The Marine (2006) Starring: John Cena, Robert Patrick, Kelly Carlson IMDB - "A group of diamond thieves on the run kidnap the wife of a recently discharged marine who goes on a chase through the South Carolinian wilderness to retrieve her." Absolute drivel. I knew it probably wouldn't be very good before I started watching it but it turned out to be possibly the worst film I have ever seen! :down: :down:

Last Man Standing (1996) Starring: Bruce Willis, Bruce Dern, Christopher Walken, Michael Imperioli (Christopher Moltisanti - The Sopranos) IMDB - "A drifting gunslinger-for-hire finds himself in the middle of an ongoing war between the Irish and Italian mafia in a Prohibition era ghost town.." Excellent. :up:

Mona Lisa (1986) Starring: Bob Hoskins, Kathy Tyson, Michael Caine, Robbie Coltrane IMDB - "George has just been released from prison, and manages to get a job driving a call girl from customer to customer. Initially they don't get on; he doesn't fit in with the high class customers Simone services. Will they ever get on?" Thought I would have seen it before but apparently not! An oldie but a goldie.

Moonlighting (1982) Starring: Jeremy Irons, some Polish blokes IMDB - "A Polish contractor, Nowak, leads a group of workmen to London so they can provide cheap labor for a government official based there. Nowak (Irons) has to manage the project and the men as they encounter the tempations of the West and loneliness and separation from their families. Nowak is the only one of the group who speaks English, and he uses this as a tool over his team. When the unrest in Poland leads to a military takeover, Nowak is faced with a much more difficult situation than he expected." I was surprised by this film, as I really enjoyed it!

Geez, American humour (is that an oxymoron?)?!

Rush 1991 IMDB - "Two small-town Texas cops go undercover to catch a major drug dealer and are sucked into the drug culture, compromising their assignment." Stars: Jason Patric, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Sam Elliott Have to say I thought this was very good.

Coss, you're watching Season 1 and it is super seriously good. 10 episodes. I thought that was it. It never crossed my mind that there would be a Season 2. But apparently there is, although all different actors and set 27 years earlier.

A Few Good Men (1992) IMDB - "Neo military lawyer Kaffee defends Marines accused of murder; they contend they were acting under orders." Stars: Tom Cruise, Jack Nicholson, Demi Moore, Kiefer Sutherland, Kevin Bacon, Kevin Pollak I come back to this film every 3 or 4 years, I like it that much. Jack Nicholson is awesome.

Whisky Galore! (1949) IMDB - "Scottish islanders try to plunder 50,000 cases of whisky from a stranded ship." A classic, can't believe I've never seen it before!

El Dorado (1966) IMDB - "Cole Thornton, a gunfighter for hire, joins forces with an old friend, Sheriff J.P. Hara. Together with an old Indian fighter and a gambler, they help a rancher and his family fight a rival rancher that is trying to steal their water." John Wayne, Robert Mitchum and a very young James Caan. I do like a good western and this is a good un.

Five custom-fitted kilts of “various colours†were taken from the performer’s marquee in Baxter Park, Dundee on Friday morning. The world famous cabaret act, from Thailand, had intended to wear them in the closing number of their show, which opened on Friday night. The extravagant 10-minute finale features the “girls†dancing and miming to classic Scottish songs including “The Bonny Bank of Loch Lomond†and “500 Miles†by The Proclaimers. But their kilts were taken from amongst other props whilst the stage was being set up, between 7am and 9am on Friday morning. No other items were taken. A spokesman said: “At first, the Lady Boys were totally bemused. Their question was – why? “Nothing else was taken, only the kilts.
