Bembaman
I am looking for specialist toy shops but none come to mind. I have been to those sections in all the usual department stores and supermarkets but they are not very good. Anyone know of any or perhaps a market soi specialising in this kond of thing. not been to Chatujak in ages-anyone remember seeing a toy section there? Looking for baby stuff mainlu, particularly those things that hang from the ceiling etc. All suggestions appreciated.
Old Hippie
I'm no expert in this department, but I would say try Emporium, Gratsorns, and MBK. I do recall seeing a few mobiles in my travels. Did see some at Weekend market as well, but not really aimed at children, more like decorations you hang in the wind...
Fatbastard
Apart from OH's suggestions there isn't a great deal of Toy selection here, probably centarl chitlom has the best selection. Not much use to you, but the market at Nong Khai has a great selection of toys at 25% of Toy R Us prices.
Guest
I'm no expert, but I have seen one worth checking out in Siam Discovery on the same level as the theatres. It's a small hobby shop.
ZMAN Z28
Just a shot in the dark, but maybee try Big C, or Lotus. They might have it. Future Park Mall Rangsit, maybee also. It is north of the airport, so it might be kinda expensive to get there, but I wouldn't say more then 400-500 baht one way in a taxi. ZMAN
lopburi3
There used to be a fairly large childrens place on the second or third floor of Central Plaza, Latphao near the entrance to Central Department Store itself. Have not been there for several years so not sure if still around. Have seen childrens toy stores in other malls as well.

Straycat
Just came to think of it...isn't there an area in Bangkok's Chinatown with mainly childrens toys? (my memory may play tricks with me...but I seem to recall someting like that).
gummigut
If you are wanting legos, Central Bang Na has some huge lego thing going on now. Not exactly cheap, but they do some really cool stuff with legos these days. <<burp>>
steffi
Or 20 baht in a bus from World Trade. Number 504 will take you to Future Park. Heck the comfo _white_ AIRPORT BUS_ will get you as far as the airport for 100 baht.
