Palatkik
One of the options available on Kasikorn (formerly TFB) ATM?s in Thailand is money transfers to other accounts (including non Kasikorn Thai banks). Has anyone done this using a foreign ATM card? I have a US Citicard. I keep getting invalid message at Kasikorn ATM machine when trying to transfer to a Thai account so have to extract the cash first then redeposit. Cheers,
khunsanuk
Hi, Most (all?) Thai ATM cards can do this, *but* only at ATMs of the issuing bank. You cannot (AFAIK) transfer money using an ATM card from a bank different to the one owning the ATM machine you use. (Hope this makes sense, btw) Sanuk! spirit_of_town_hall
If you don't bank with that bank how can you expect to transfer money to another bank account. You cant walk in to bank and transfer money to another bank account if you don't bank there in the first place. STH
Pom Michael
Actually you need to use an ATM from EITHER your bank OR the bank of the person you are going to be sending the money too.
Guest
I don't think it would be possible to do this with a foreign ATM card anyway. Keep us posted.
