Sarisin Posted May 31, 2003 Report Share Posted May 31, 2003 Last night I saw Santos in Titty Twister and had a long talk with him. Truth be told it was a bit difficult when you have all the noise and merriment going on in the bar around you. IMO, Titty Twister is still one of the best party bars in Bangkok. I didn't read all the words that have been written against Santos in this present go round. However, I did read some and heard others. Last night I got his side of the story. What I gleaned from the discussion is that there is a serious difference in view about what really happened and what will happen next. Interestingly, another of Santos' partners (not mentioned here) entered TT and joined in the discussion with the two of us. He certainly did not seem upset with Santos or Porn, and did have some rather nasty things to say about the other partners who seem to have the problem and have chose to publicize it on a variety of fora. Richard is a good friend of mine too, so I was a little shocked when I heard of the problems associated with his partnership with Santos. But, to be very honest, I have not been around the scene that much these days. Still, whenever I stop into Warbler's for a meal or in TT for some fun, Santos and I are the best of friends, and, honestly we are much more comfortable discussing what is happening in the nightlife scene rather than which partner screwed whom. Therein is the distinct difference. I tend to deal with him on a personal/friendship level rather than as a businessman. I have been asked by Santos (and many others) to enter the nightlife business here, but have declined on each occasion for a number of reasons. I prefer to keep him as a friend rather than a partner - not because of the dirty dealings being brought forth, but because I cannot be involved, nor do I care to be involved with a nightlife-related business. So, like a few have said here, you have to read what is written and make your own decision. Some have said they will not patronize his businesses due to this discussion. Fine, that's their choice.
