Sarisin
Nice attempt at this, but there is no way you could have put all the choices up there. Also, best hotel as in...? Anyway, the Oriental is normally mentioned when you talk about the best hotel in Thailand, and, certainly one of the best in the world. I have eaten there, but never stayed there. The best I have stayed in (before I moved here permanently) is The Regent Bangkok. I still go there often to eat, but I do not stay there. I eat in three of their restaurants (Biscotti's, The Madison, and Spice Market) and I love all three. The Nana????
Zaad
I've always enjoyed staying at the Ambassador Hotel in Pattaya. Beautiful hotel on a nice location. Food is good etc. Thanks TB, you made me wanna go there again. ::
bangkokbutcher
I would like to add a couple if you dont mind: The Udon Airport Hotel (udon thani) The Royal Mekhong (Nong Khai) Both A1 places to stay when in the area, and as for value for money, well I have yet to encounter better... pattaya127
I am partial to the Grand Nevada in UBon. big, cozy room with samll balcony, huge bathroom, good service too. At 1000 bahts, incl. Bfast Buffet, good value.

Pescator
I dont think that I ever paid more than 500 bht. for a hotel, so I could probably not even come close to any of these places you mention. But sure would like to try out the Dusit Rayavadee in Railey, Krabi. Sure looks great. Cheers Hua Nguu
