ultras67 Posted November 10, 2003 Report Share Posted November 10, 2003 Went to the Star Of Light on Saturday night for the first time in about 4 weeks as a little reward for being, well, me :: Oh my how APEC has changed it and the girls. The back room is now more and has been demolished - apparently on police orders. Its now one of those bead curtain things that separates the end of the bar and what is now the girls personal stuff storage area. On that day, the girls told me that the police had been actually in the bar to check it twice already ( this was about 10pm ) and they had about 7 false warnings with police walk bys - including one where I was in the act. I think I set a new record for trousers up in 0.14 secs! They said they will not do anyone on the couch now or at the booth nearest the bar. They cant even show pornos on the tv now, its karaoke :: It got to the stage where I had to be finished off in the toilet, which as those who have been there know, is not one of the most, um, salubrious places in Bangkok. I really hope this is just temporary and they dont crackdown anymore as the thought of no SOL is just too tearful to consider. Anyone know if Kangaroo, Star of Love, Rose ? The small back-room is gone, videos are shown at day-time only ("may be, things will change from next week again"). No problem getting a service on the couch though. They told me, police confiscated all XXX-movies and they had to pull down the room, because the police found one customer getting served in the room. My first time there a feww months ago I almost died falling backwards off the chair coming to fruition with two ladies at the bar. Luckily a lady assisting a gent on the couch saw what was happening and like a defensive lineman tackled my chair and kept it upright before me falling cranium first onto the floor behind me. Hmmmm memories and mammaries. So whats this, the SOL is cleaning up? 'Tis no good. How'z about the opening hours? Do they still open around 10 am? As a relative newbie to the BJ bar scene, where else can I enjoy a quality BJ whilst straddling a bar stool in BKK and Pattaya? Yep, now open again in the morning (10:00 or 11:00) and stay open till 01:30 in the night. The girls for the night-shift (most of them) will arrive at 17:00.
