Guest
If you're flying economy, better to book a vegetarian meal with most airlines.
loner w/a boner
I wouldn't call what I had FOOD. It was on the trip over here with China Air. I can eat damn near anything, but this stuff was just nasty.
Oldtimer
The grub on JAL business class is really wonderful, especially if you take the Japanese menu. On the Bangkok/Phuket flights I believe that the Thai staff do an amazing job considering the number of folk that they have to serve in such a shot time. Howver, I generally pass on anything other than a coffee.
shygye
[color:"green"] The grub on JAL business class is really wonderful, especially if you take the Japanese menu. [/color] I got the Japanese menu in JAL biz class and thought it was CRAP. Now I know why the Japanese ordered the Western menu.

BKKNUT
NWA and UAL food not very good I also try to fill up before the flight and bring my own stash of food along.
paulc31
Hi BKKNUT, I agree with you 100% I think that our air lines could learn some stuff from the Asian and Euro airlines better service, and good food paulc31
sfinkz
Cattle class/first class/international/domestic it doesn't matter. Regardless, I have always found the grub to hold body and soul together, an important consideration at 35,000 feet. I'm also secure in the knowledge that I will be able to dine in comfort when I safely arrive at my chosen destination on terra firma. Airline food is even more so than the cuisine of expensive restaurants in that what you are really paying for is 'atmosphere'.
Guest
Just flew bkk -> us on United in coach. The food was way better than any of the crap I get on asian airlines in economy (or deluxe) on asiana or eva. Service wasn't bad either. I think the supposed disparities are way overblown and at least partially in people's heads.
paulc31
Hi sfinkz, True I also would to pay for a safer flight :: It would be nice to have better service and food on the flights than some thing you can eat at all :: paulc31
