Proper Wedding Attire???

Recommended Posts

I will be attending a proper Thai wedding & Reception the first part of Feb. at a Nice Bangkok Hotel.. As the parents of the bride are very traditional, I do not want to upset or insult them in any way... I know that White is not to be worn at Chinese weddings (considered bad luck), but is there anything Special that I should know about or colors that I should not wear at a Thai Wedding???

Thanks in advance...

Thanks BelgianBoy, Yes I know that white is for burying not marrying in China, but did not know about Thailand... Both Bride & Groom are saying "Casual Attire" as most of the relatives are lower middle class from Issan and won't be dressed too nice.. But again, I do not want to insult or offend anyone with an "Unlucky" color...

Too sensistive.....black shoes, black belt are very normal at Thai Weddings....When you see the military guys there in there shined black boots!!!!!!

Normal suit would be fine, but, preferably not a black suit.

Sanukboot.
