Old Hippie
Hi, I forget, how to make your computer type Thai using Win. 98? Have the keyboard already, and I think it can read/process Thai fonts already...Thanks, for a friend in Belgium...
Guest
You need Win 98 Thai edition for full thai support. Then go into control panel, Regional, and change 'your locale' to Thai (default is US). The help menus will be in thai also though. Add the thai keyboard also and the language selector will appear near the clock in the bottom right hand corner.

..
OH, this thread gives you some options. Cumbersome, but it works (cut and paste the results into a document). Cheers, SD

Old Hippie
Thanks, odd is, it recognizes Thai script, just has no option to add it as a keyboard option...
..
Don't be confused by the name virtual keyboard. This product is intended for just your problem. Win2K & up have the language packs built in, I think. Win98 needs all sorts of add-ins to make it work. FYI, all keyboards are created equal. Just cuz it has Thai characters on the keyboard doen't mean it is Thai. Just a guide for people typing in Thai language. In fact, one can buy stickers to put on their regular keyboard to make it a Thai one. Cheers, SD
