well, i would not want to carry the so common name in english speaking countries - "Jim".

in thai that is one of the words for the female genitalia.

 

so, any jim here on the thread - do yourself a favour and let people call you "james". ::

Reminds me of the time we brought a young Indonesian guy into one of our offices in the US. The HR system required both last name and first name. We came up with idea of using a " - " as the first name. All the personnel reports came out with Suharto, - . Wasn't long before everyone was calling him "Dash" Suharto. ::

"jeem" is smile, common nickname.

the wife of one of my missus's brothers is called that. only problem is that she has hardly a toth left...

the brother says he didn't know before marrying her, she has kept her smile well hidden.
