ThaiHome
"'Just like Suharto !' to blank looks. " Reminds me of the time we brought a young Indonesian guy into one of our offices in the US. The HR system required both last name and first name. We came up with idea of using a " - " as the first name. All the personnel reports came out with Suharto, - . Wasn't long before everyone was calling him "Dash" Suharto. :: TH
Zaad
Hi Fly, I know a (pretty) Thai woman named "Jeem". I wonder what her parents were thinking at the moment of choosing :: She has probably not survived her younger years without a few 'funny' remarks. Guest
"jeem" is smile, common nickname. the wife of one of my missus's brothers is called that. only problem is that she has hardly a toth left... the brother says he didn't know before marrying her, she has kept her smile well hidden.
