Once here, we register as a couple, she gets temporary residency and workpermit, and after 6 months she will get yeraly extentions here. chilli13
TGF au-pair 1 year work permit refused after too long consideration(more than 2 months) I guess due to TGF being too honest! Applied (2nd) tourist visa imediately, which was granted today(6 day processing) & will be stamped tomorrow & she'll arrive tuesday If still in need of more time here after 3 months I guess tomme's suggestion of applying residency while in country will be tried out. At swedish embassy bkk TGF was told something about once back can apply 6 months visa with 1-2months processing time only wonder if that's a new tourist visa policy or simply 'quick' residence? chilli13
3rd Schengen visa this time at german embassy issued today after only 2 days processing(3 months stay - applicant told to pickup visa 2 days later after short interview following handing in application. very efficient) Most tough document to obtain seems to be certified invitation letter that the german authorities actually charges eur25 to issue & then they expect us to ship it to bkk embassy although a scanned copy was accepted, but the original is needed at immigratrion prost
