It would be a lot better to have some of these polluting busses of the streets by making BTS and subway cheap for Bangkokanians.

 

That would free up more room for the car afficionados, as you mention this Samak, not just thais will give up their cars.

I worked 6 months in Paris and enjoyed taking the Metro and RER, but many people came to work after 10am and got home after 6pm to be able to drive and advance in Paris traffic. :banghead:

took the subway today , no line to get tickets , but it seems the ticket machines only work some of the time , mine was fine , but the other one was broken,

 

prices are posted, Suk tio train station-Chinatown 20baht

but Suk to the other end is 35 baht

 

Nice set-up , at least there are elcalators and you do not have to climb the stairs like the skytrain....

 

I was planning on taking a Taxi , but traffic was so bad around Suk-Nana that I walked down to the Subway station.

 

Some day I need to take it to the other end and see whats there !
