Smith was bought after Saha and Rooney had already been targeted and Smith must have known this. the 4 Strikers in 99 didn't do to badly. he won't be gone in Jan as Fergie knows he needs all 4 of them and Smith will only leave to a lesser Club if he does go..... Heinze is a revelation down the wing and looks good going forward and still manages to get back to make crunching tackles. in the Games i have seen Heinze has roamed along the Left Wing on his own while Giggs has been doing his own thing. You sure he is the proper age to take over after Keane?" He turned 28 last month. Not the youngest of all but definitely the man with the required qualities and experience. He can go on for at least 3 seasons, perhaps 1 or two more. But in those 3 seasons the younger Man U boys could grow and learn a lot from Ballack and perhaps take over one day. They should have bought him after last season damnit...but there's still time. The money spent for Rooney should've gone to Bayern for Ballack! I was still laughing at Martin ONeils post match interview where once again he showed himself to be a sore loser. They were even thinking about putting in a complaint to UEFA about the ref. I didnt really see anythng that would warrant any sort of complaint. Anyway, thanks to George picking Roy Mackaay as captain and the player responding with a hat trick, he scored a huge 67 points. After years of failing to qualify for the second round is this going to be the tradition-breaking season Seems like it since next two of three games are at home. Porto are champs and no one can take that away but definitely a shame they're going down so easily this year.
