For my sins, when I was a student in London in the '80's I used to work as a security guard during the summer at the Grosvenor House Antiques Fair on Park Lane. Saw loads of famous people including royalty. We had to sit on reception sometimes and check handbags and briefcases of those going in and out to prevent theft of little antiques. Anyway, one day I stopped this woman who looked vaguely familiar. In the distance I could see the security supervisor waving his arms in my general direction which I took to mean don't stop this one. Too late. As I went through her handbag and looked up at her I suddenly realised I'd stopped Jackie Kennedy. Very nice smile and quite pleasant.
