MooNoi Posted July 9, 2004 Report Share Posted July 9, 2004 I've had three - all pretty crappy, but special to me! 1) Met ex-Genesis frontman Peter Gabriel in a hotel bar in Adelaide once. (About 8 years ago). It was really quiet and we were the only two in the bar. Ended up chatting to him for about an hour (after he initiated the chat!). Was really amazing for me as he's one of my fave musicians. 2) Sat next to Mimi Macpherson (Elle's sister) on a flight from Sydney to Brisbane once. Didn't chat though. 3) Sang with Thai band "Rock Salaeng" (they sing the well-known song "Motorcy Haang") at a concert of theirs in Buriram, and also sang with Thai bang "Taxi" on stage too. Not major brushes with fame, but all really special memories that make me smile from time-to-time. FlyP P.S. Which thread was the Kobe Tai guy on? How the hell do you get to the THAT?!!! Lucky boy! Actually two, one was already semi famous (can't recall her name, not great looking but it did happen). The other worked at a 'gentleman's club' and went on to do porn but was no star. A couple movies and that's it. A few sports stories. Here are my BIG moments: During my Military years: a. wrote an investigative report that was briefed to President Reagan. b. Involved in an operation that was written up in a book. c. Met two Congressional Medal of Honor recipients Additional moments: a. While in high school regularly cut the lawn of a professional golfer on the tour. b. met and chatted with John Lithgow at Disneyland in LA. He was a very nice guy. c. Met, talked and drank with Hank Williams Jr. at a bar in San Jose, CA. He was a bit different if not strange. A person that has had handlers his entire life who is out of touch with reality in the real world. d. Dated a girl that competed in the Miss California pagaent. She lost......but still pretty good looking e. Dated a really cute 21 year old Stanford student when I was 42. I didn't even have to pay....go figure f. slept with: Nit, Poo, Lek,Mei Nek, Nik, Nak, Noi, Poo, Nit, Nek, Jeab, Geaw, Nik, Nek, Mei Poo, Noi, Noi, Noi, Poo, Lek, Pawn, Pawn, Jeab.....Multiply the above by 5.
