steffi
If I take a day trip to Singapore or Hong Kong and re-enter Thailand the same day will I be given a 30 day visa upon re-entry. I'm British.

Guest
Moving on a step from steffi's point. Can I ask if that 30-day visa can then be extended back in BKK? I am British too (if that has anything to do with it!) Thanks

Mekong
To expand slightly on Racha's correct answers. If here on 30 day tourist visa, you have to leave the kingdom in order to renew it. This could be overland to Laos or Cambodia, or as Steffi is thinking about doing, flying to Sigers /HK (too bloody expensive mate), or Malaysia. I can understand Racha's Kurt responses to this thread coz this question arises every other week........trawl the board before posting the same damn queries. Guest
Technically, you don't "renew" this visa. The moment you stamp out of the country, that visa goes "poof" -- when you re-enter, you get a brand new 30 days.

dinkas
30 day visas can usually be extended for 10 days at the closest Thai Immigration Office. Pay the 500 baht and have one photo fill in the form and you should get a 10 day extension. Any longer than that and you will need to leave the country. simie
Jarrod, I believe you are correct and Racha's kurt reply to be wrong. You can extent the 30 day tourist visa at an immigration office for 500 baht. Cheers Simie.
racha
Hi Simie, At the present time your are corrrect but within a very short time some of the rules are going to change dramaticaly.
