samak
Apirak is a former CEO of Orange and Democrat Party member and therefore in politics and biz a competitor to Taksin. however he is not very well known and very tame; there also seem to be not much support from the big shots of the Democrats. unfortunately i do not think that he will make it. Unfortunately you are right. Apirak (~22%) is trailing Pavena (-32%), Thaksin's favorite by around 10%. Chuwit is third with around 10%. Chalerm has only 3%. 30% of the voters are still undecided according to the latest poll published in the Nation afew days ago. Actually I don't care much who wins. Best would be Apirak I guess, worst Pavena as she is nothing more than Thaksins doll.

samak
Chuwit is number 15; as said the candidate with far most posters and advertisements all over Bangkok. have found a interesting website with posters of the candidates and links to their websites: http://www.2bangkok.com/news04gov.shtml
New Petchburi Pete
Chuwit is a head case! I believe he would sell all the massage parlors he owns! ... this would be his way of personally bowing out of the business, IMHO.
