follies
I seem to recall some news in one of these posts about imminent changes to phone numbers in Thailand. What I'm interested in is (1) changes to International calls to Thailand (to both landlines and mobiles), and (2) changes in internal calling within Thailand. As I'm too lazy to search around to find what I thought I saw, can anyone help??
khunsanuk
Hi, I am fairly certain that calling into Thailand will be exactly the same, and expect that calling out won't be effected either. Sanuk!
Mekong
The only changes are that local area codes have to be utilised even when dialing a line in the same area. So a BKK to BKK land line call will now have to be prefixed with 02. Same with all mobiles, have to use the 01 prefix. It will have no effect on international calls in, still +66-1-XXXXXXX for BKK numbers
