Posted September 3, 2004 Report Share Posted September 3, 2004 Tonight I stopped into the brand spankin' new Villa in the not-yet-complete little multi-story strip mall on Thonglor and the corner of Soi 15. Holy-moley. This place is as good any gormet supermarket I have been to in the States or Hong Kong (CitySuper in Times Square is one of my all time favs) or Oz. Bight, clean, BIG, has everything including fresh ground coffee, organized, well staffed, etc. Lots of parking too. Just brilliant! Thoroughly impressed. Far and away surpasses Villa 49 as my fav here in Bangers. Only problem I found is that the Thonglor 15 branch does not have the Indian curry buffet from the Novotel Lotus as does Villa 49 & Villa 33. And I was in the mood for some Keema. Oh well. Oh that, and the fact the Thonglor Soi 15 is a dead end, so ya can't get to it except by going down Thonglor. Not a big deal except at rush hour. Positively one of the good changes in LoS!
