I do not take the high moral ground, read what I wrote, I come to Thailand for exactly the same reasons as you all do, but here I may differ with you, I like to know, or is it believe, that the girls I spend time with can tell me to jump in the lake. Sure, I would have to find another playmate but I think they and all women deserve to have a choice, a true pimp does not give anyone a choice, he is a ponce and NO I do not like them, but it is a little bit like face, if I don't know who they are I might buy them a beer. As far as I know nobody I know has run off with a pimp and left me, and like I said, I wouldn't really care. The german law does (not very good, but they try) protect children even outside of germany. There have been cases where some nasty guys have been sentenced for child abusion done in Thailand or the Philippines. So if you have proof you can make him eat shit. Escort services in the US are quite different and I have always wanted to try one in the LOS to see the difference and compare the ladies with bargirls, MP girls, etc. I'm not THAT curious anymore. I do, however; see the possibility of escort services becoming more popular if the current crackdown continues. Perhaps at least some of them will become more "legit". If AussieDog et al don't like pimps they should not be going to bars in LOS that have girls, or even boys if that's their preference, in them. Evey satang you spend in a bar goes into the pockets of the pimps you don't like. It makes them richer and you poorer. Some people seem to genuinely define "whore" as "a person who (at times) receives financial (or other) compensation for sexual or social services", period. But those people are likely to offend other people who consider "whore" a degrading curse word. (Please don't start the whore-discussion again here) With "pimp" it's the same. Some people hold the opinion that abuse, threats and ruthless exploitation are inherently linked to being a pimp. Of course there's likely a big gray area in the middle, where a lot of people running night entertainment businesses in Bangkok reside. Here we have a very important issue (esp. with the interview being on the website so we more or less condone this business) so I think we should get to the bottom of it. For starters, Maddog wrote he went to the police and filed a report. I'd really like to receive a scan of your copy of that document. Send it either to k. Sanuk or to me at chanchao@earthling.net I'm not doubting (or believing) your story, but if you can come up with a scan of that document then we all know for sure, and for starters we'll throw the interview with that guy off the website and replace it with a warning against such businesses. You already have my sympathy, and made the hairs in my neck rise reading your post, but we need some more facts with a medium like this. It seems to be very hypocritical to think like this but be so happy to support the businesses and have such fun in them time and time again. Aussiedoug Maybe I am a pimp, maybe I want to be a pimp. Maybe I am just not so blatantly hypocritical. Maybe I do not choose to lump every Tom Dick and Larry into sweeping generalisations that they are all scum of the earth because of the service they provide or job they do.
