OCgringo
Well I figured that I would continue this thread, seems that the Baht has recovered most of its small lose from the coup when it went to 37.90 its back at 37.35 , before the coup it was 37,35 so really no change OC
cavanami
Bummer. I was hoping to see a 42 baht > USD again, like it was about one year ago. Should'a, could'a, would'a...exchanged a pile of USD for thai baht last year So much for the Mikey School of Finance.
OCgringo
more OUCH.... now its 36.6 , so the Baht has gotten stronger since the coup , Amazing to me , but the US$ is a little down against the Euro, UKpound and Aussie $ too. I guess there is not much of a chance it will turn around in the next 2 weeks before I get to BKK OC
MooNoi
Nation Newspaper said yesterday that the baht will get stronger, and by this time next year it will be 35 Baht to the dollar.
OCgringo
a strong baht is not good for thailands exports , they are already priced out in many markets, but the baht is probably getting pulled up with the Chinese revaluing their money OC

FAT_AUSSIE
Have another look today. The USD has recently had a string of poor economic data that in the last 2-3 weeks has really kicked it down. Allthough friday 23:30 est Australian time the NFP data was released with the outcome great for USD. I bought XXXXXX USD with GBP @ 1.987 and converted back to GBP 15 minutes later @ 1.892 AUD too with the release of the non farm payrolls dipped briefly below 0.77.00US after spending 8 days at a record high. Not to say things are on the up and up but the USD has briefly clawed back some ground. Fatty...
