Flashermac
<< This is my favourite resteraunt in Thailand. >> Ditto here! I stop by any time I'm in the neighbourhood. Reminds me of the food I got as a kid at my grandparents. This is MY soul food.
Flashermac
<< KFC in LOS tastes great too >> You're kidding. KFC in Bangkok tastes like it is fried in motor oil, and the chicken fingers are hard enough to break your plate with. Only thing edible at a Bangkok KFC is the mashed potatoes. Any KFC branch that bad in the States would lose its franchise in no time. Go out and buy the 20 or 25 baht gai yang from the Isaan street vendor -- 10 times better than that Kerosine Fried Chicken...
Nervous_Dog
Worst KFC I have ever had anywhere, mainly becaus I like white meat, and thais like skin and bones!
Guest lazyphil
I like the fried chicken from those vendors also, I think its all in the mind liking KFC because I enjoy the ice cold A/C which is a relief from the sweltering heat on the street (I'm a poet dont ya know!) jxxxl
I'm not sure why KFC would be so successful in LOS. Thai fried chicken is unbelievable. I hope it's not for the mashies, they taste like glue. What do the experts think of the fish and chips at Bus Stop? I haven't tried the soi 23 place, but it sounds like the closest I'll get to the real thing in Thailand.
shygye
KFC is very popular with Thai's. I visited the Bangkok Zoo and ate at the food court. Very few people there. Walking pass the KFC in the zoo, it was filled to overflowing with Thai's. Also at MBK, the TGs I was with wanted to eat at KFC.

I haven't tried it for quite a while (maybe for that reason) so it might have improved. Khwai
