Mentors
2005 IIHF World Championship Div I Group B Norway ? China 25-1 (6:0, 9:1, 10:0) Norway ran up the score ruthlessly, since this championship and the ensuing promotion to the top pool of the 2006 IIHF World Championship can be decided on goals differential. After the onslaught against the defenceless Chinese, Norway now has +30 against Hungary?s +12. One couldn?t help feeling sympathy for the Chinese players who are totally out of their league on the division I-level. They had to defend in their own zone for the entire match, as the ice was barely scratched in front of Pal Grotnes, the Norwegian goaltender. And as soon as China tried to attack, they were immediately punished with a quick break and a goal from the superior skating opposition.
