When I started diving, I quickly figured out that it was a good idea to know as much as possible about it, as f*ck ups could seriously spoil your day! I am extremely lucky in having a great pair of instructors, who are extremely tolerent of the fact that I am doing the DM course by "making every mistake it is possible to make, and then learning from it!". Not the best way to do it (it would be nice to get *something* right once in a while!!!!) but all in all good fun. I will most likley go onto AI and I, as I suppose I find the "people" side more interesting than the "fish" side, so to speak. DAN, they got back with an answer but asked me to wait with publication since in the new Alert Diver (their quarterly magazine) they will have an article about the subject on hand and they will give me some info for publication afterwards. Any med that may alter you heart/metabolic rate is ALWAYS bad for diving and will certainly complicate the On-Site Neuro exam and be of concern to any Hyperbaric Facility.... Boom at night and Dive at day...Unless you are going for the night dive then you can boom at night after the dive! BTW Nikonos is a trool/flamer jerk wad...no contirbution, none. I felt all the hoopla about helping Thailands dive industry was over blown.....PADI SEA bought a big booth, so what. I can't comment on what impact the guys from DEMA in the suits had had as it seemed there was little interest in their presence except for the opening activities. I din't see them handing out money and the web deal is yet to be determined. Other than that it seemed to be a bust as I didn't stay long... REally Sorry I missed the one at Q.
