A good game for a referee is a game that you don't notice them. Its that way in any sport. The NBA officiating problems is the league front office. To put more 'excitement' into the game for the fans they change rules constantly. Send out memorandums to referees about what to call and what not to call. Everyone gets an extra half step nowadays, especially the flashy point guards because it puts butts in the seats and looks good on ESPN Sports Center.

 

Carlyle got screwed but Brown did get them a title. Could Carlyle have? Only speculation right now.

 

I have heard that Doug Collins was always bitter because he felt that he built the core of the Bulls team and Phil came in and took the credit for his hard work. Wonder how Carlyle feels? Not sure if Phil Jackson is still banging Buss' daughter. He was a few years ago. They kept it quiet for a while and then it came out. Banging the boss' daughter. Not a good idea usually. PJ will get 2-3 years to build another team. The Lakers will have problems because Jerry West is no longer GM there. Kupchak is decent but it was Jerry West that put hose great teams together.
