Paillote
I have heaps of fully usable clothes in my wardrobe that I don't use anymore. Rather than just trow them in the garbage, I wondered if there are any places in central Bangkok where they collect such items. The Salvation Army has plenty of collection points back home, but never seen anyone here. Anybody knows? Paillote
..
Dunno, maybe Father Joe (more about him) or the banner ad on this site Duang Prateep Foundation? Cheers, SD
samak
whenever i was in this situation here in Bangkok and asked a bit around, who could still use my old clothes, a intense fight brought out, who is going to get those. and the same with old furniture, empty Cognac bottles, even empty can's and read newspapers! so i prefer to throw them in the garbage now! I'd be pretty sure the Monks could find "good homes" for clothing that is still "fully usable". Even if they couldn't, I would think they could point you in the right direction. Guest
1. The Thai Red Cross 2. If you live in an apartment building or condo, put them into a bag or bags and place them near, not in, the nearest trash bin. The maids will salvage them for their village or family. simon43
A completely OT comment!! I used to er . .work in the porn business back in the uk (I operated some of the mobile phone text-chat services). I used to advertise my sms services with hard-core adverts in the glossy top-shelf mags. When I moved to BKK I told the magazine companies not to send any of these magazines to me, as I could get into very hot water with the tight anti-porn rules here. But I continued to receive hard-core magazines at my BKK apartment! I rapidly binned these magazines each time. It was only a few months later that I found out that the apartment building cleaning ladies were raking in a fortune by extracting these pristine quality mags from my rubbish and reselling them!!
