Talk about hard as nails, he starred in a TV show ages ago about a military police sergeant. It was different due to the subject matter ... plus Meeker was great in it. p.s. Tough, no-nonse detective. Paladin of "Have Gun Will Travel", played by Richard Boone (who, incidently, was a Stanford grad and a boxer!) Josh Randall of "Wanted: Dead or Alive", played by Steve McQueen. Loved his "irons". Yeah, another "western". All three of these were "kick ass", tough, SOB's.
