asiafun
Forgive my ignorance but I was just made aware that there was a 500 Baht departure fee when leaving BKK airport? This true and if so is it really 500 Baht or has the price gone up. Why is it places like Thailand and the Philippines charge these departure fees. I have never done so in Japan, USA or Europe... hmmm, perhaps I just answered my own question there.
mako
It was still B500 when I left a couple of weeks ago, we have to B1500 to leave Australia
Guest
The USA just hides the fee in the ticket price , THailand is still 500 baht , they even have new machines that take 500-1000 baht bills and spit out your departure receipt and change
samak
500 Baht and you can not use credit card or foreign currency! no need to pay if you are just in transit in bangkok! in most other places it is included in the ticket price so no need to bash the thais that they use another opportunity to take money from the tourists and visitors! Bembaman
In most countries it is issued as part of the ticket price -I think it is itemised on the tickets. In Thailand of course, it is all in CASH either at a kiosk or a machine..................draw your own conclusions!
