mattwasp
Only seen it on sms messages from one girl so not sure how its pronounced, and I can't find a definitive reference to it anywhere (can't see the wood for the trees, probably) What does it mean? Seems to be used like "how r u sri?" Thanks!

khunsanuk
Hi, Sri can also be a girl's name. Sanuk!
limbo
Or part of a longer name, Sriraya or the like.
chuckwoww
Or she could be Khmer. Look Sray is a common form of address for women.
Old Hippie
I've seen it on street signs...might be an abreviation...?
mattwasp
Interesting replies. I'm almost convinced she's not calling me a girls name, or part of my own - I always introduce myself as Uan - its easier to say. I'm not fat though, its ironic you see. The simplest (sir) may be pretty accurate. I made a point of bringing her up on her grammer as a joke - 'what about the ka?' 'Call me Pee Uan' and so on. Good sense of humour these thai girls.. The toddler who seems to live at Baccara on Soi 33 was introduced to me as 'Uan' but insisted on 'Pee Uan' - what an adorable little thing. Flashermac
Since she abbreviates to "r u", maybe "sri" is an abbreviation too. Let's see: - sexy romantic idol - stupid revolting idiot - smelly ridiculous infidel
