khunsanuk
Hi, "Also the "ancient city" in Samut Prakan rents bikes. Makes an excellent day out! Picnic and biking around looking at the sites. 50B for the bikes, 100Bfor thai entrance. 300B for farang ( but can neg. to 200B)" Right, I was here with my parents last weekend. It was 50 Baht for Thais though and 300 for farangs. However, upon bitching a bit I got in for the Thai price after showing some Thai paperwork (I thin social security card, got it from the secretary but have no idea what it is for; work permit would have worked as well). Wanna go back there and rent bikes as we didn't have enough time this time and drove through most of the park by car. Limbo: No, nothing is archived, but all threads remain on the board, so a search will turn them up. Sanuk!
Nervous_Dog
Your social security card gets you free hospital visits at a hospital somewhere near work usually! I now always bitch about dual pricing, pull out Soc Sec and drivers licence, and I get thai price now. DOG

Nervous_Dog
School took JJ last year, we've been before, not bad but not great, about 2 hours max of fun if you stretch it out. Good thing it the park beside it is great to ride around on byciccles, which they hire, and has a public pool in it! DOG
limbo
Been to Bang Na Toys'R'Us and was a bit disapointed. Loads of Toys indeed, however, in Central Chitlom I enjoy the children toy dept a lot better. It seems that they have a wider selection of toys with educational value. That was kind of lacking in Toys'R'Us, IMHO.
